Bordin: We Will Fight Until The End
Roberto Bordin, commented on a draw against Sabail in Matchday 24 of Topaz Premier League (2-2).
"It was an unexpected result for us, and we tried to play in the first half and we tried to score another goal after the opening one, but the opponent equalized, and then we lost balance. Although we have a negative outcome for all of us, we know that we have to fight until the end."
Then the head coach responded to the questions of journalists: "I could not leave Sansone instead of Mirabdulla because Abbasov was Azerbaijani and if I were to enter foreign football, I would have broken the limit." On the other hand, the opponent attacked by 4-5 players, Tural Akhundov but we were playing with four strikers, but Mirabdulla's injury was a break point, it broke our plans, I had to change the scheme, and I do not agree with the idea that the left side of our defense is weak. Until the last minute, we were only thinking of victory, but Sabail defended properly. Of course, lack of Emin Mahmudov had its affect. He is a leading member of our team, captain, almost symbol, and in his position is one of the best in Azerbaijan. I did not say that my team played badly. We do not play for the second place, our goal is championship, be sure that we will fight until the end.”
