Neftchi striker Thiago Bezerra gave an interview to the club's official website. Answering questions about birthdays and goals, the Brazilian footballer addressed the fans.

- Thiago, happy birthday! This is your first birthday in Azerbaijan. How will you celebrate this day?

- Thank you very much! Yes, I will celebrate my birthday for the first time in Azerbaijan. Of course, this is an important day for us. Thankfully, I am healthy, happy, and I am leaving another year behind with my family.

- You scored 4 goals in 12 official matches for Neftchi. The last time you excelled was on November 6 last year. What is the reason for scoring late?

- Of course, this is a low figure for me. I have to score more goals. However, I am happy here. I want to score in every game and I try to do that. I'm worried I'm not different for a long time. I understand well two, I am a striker and my task is to score, but I believe that in the near future the difficult days will be over and goals and victories will come one after another.

- We have qualified for the semifinals of the Azerbaijan Cup, and the championship match with Keshla is coming up. Although we lost the last game with this team 3: 2, you scored a double. Do you think you will be able to disappoint this opponent again?

- We are in a very good mood because we have reached the semifinals. When it comes to the match with "Keshla", it is a very important game. We respect the opponent, but we must win and reduce the points difference with the teams in the top three. Despite being ahead with a score of 2: 0, we have not forgotten the defeat with a score of 3: 2. There will be a good chance to get revenge. Of course, I want to score in every game. I respect the choice of the coach. If I am given a chance, I will try to show my best and score goals.

- Do you have a word for Neftchi fans?

- Unfortunately, sometimes we do not live up to the expectations of the fans. We want to win the Azerbaijan Cup this season. For the first time in several years, we reached the semifinals. Therefore, we are very happy. I believe that soon we will see a completely different Neftchi.
