U-12 team of “Neftçi” has participated in “İzmir Cup” from April 7 to 9 in Izmir, Turkey. Players of head coach Vagif Aliyev drew with “Juventus” (Italia) in first match of Group H - 0:0. “White-blacks” played with Turkish “Giresunspor” (1:0) and German “Schalke 04” (0:1) in the other matches of day. “Neftçi” defeated Turkish “Besiktas” (1:0) and “Urla” (3:0), and Belgian “Westerlo” (1:0) and lost to Russian “Zenit” (0:6) and French “Metz” (0:1) in second day of tournament.

After this “Neftçi” qualified to next round with ranked 4th with 13 points after 8 matches of Group H. “White-blacks” lost to Belgian “Club Brugge” and eliminated from tournament in 1/16 finals - 0:2.
