Zaur Mammadamir oglu Azizov was born on October 21, 1984 in Baku.

He graduated from Baku Slavic University Regional Studies (Russia) and Azerbaijan Languages University Country Studies (UK) faculties.

From 2004 to 2008, he worked as press officer at "Khazar Lankaran" Football Club. From 2008 to 2021, he worked as the general manager of "Gabala" Sports Club. Previously, he won the Azerbaijan League 1 time, Azerbaijan Cup 3 times, CIS Cup 1 time, and participation to the group stages of UEFA tournaments 2 times.

Since December 2021, he has been working at "Neftçi" PFC.

He knows Turkish, Russian and English languages.
