Rashid Ozbeyov was born on January 31, 1953 in Baku.

All professional footballers have worn the uniform of Neftchi during their career. During 1972-1983, he played 331 games for Neftchi and scored 4 goals. He ended his career due to injury.

In 1985, the Azerbaijan Football Federation sent Rashid Ozbeyov to the Higher Coaching School in Moscow to continue his education. He returned to Baku after successfully completing his education here. In 2001, he was the head coach of Neftchi.

Rashid Ozbeyov died on September 16, 2001.
