Igor Alexandrovich Netto was born on January 9, 1930 in Moscow.

During his career, he played 368 games and scored 36 goals for Spartak Moscow in the USSR championship. He played 54 matches and scored 4 goals for the USSR national team (1952-1965).

He was the head coach of "Neftchi" in 1979.

Netto died on March 30, 1999.
